Sony is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation that is famous for manufacturing electronics products. It was founded by Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita in 1946. The first Sony logo was introduced in 1957, which features the Sony logotype enclosed in a square box.
Thereafter, the logo has been redesigned for several times and the current logo has been used since 1973, which is simply a logotype set in a slab serif. The font used for it is very similar to Clarendon originally designed by Robert Besley.
