Primot Font

Primot Script Font Family is a vertical typeface heavily influenced by Italian gelaterias. Following the release of 3 sans serifs, we are looking for opportunities to design a display style that is less constrained in terms of readability and expression. We started playing with brush letters and looked at classic scripts from different eras. Some of the interesting things that make it Primot are some unusual vertical connections and subtle brushstrokes at the end of the letter. From that point on, we set out to create a beautiful set of vertical typefaces – something we don’t often see – where each set of typefaces can make up a beautiful piece of graphic design (eg. logos, video game titles, shop windows, etc.). We’ve also made it smart by including handwriting-inspired features such as first and last form for letters, contextual substitutions, and dashes. The result is a typeface that displays over 900 flexible glyphs, suitable for a wide range of applications. We hope you have as much fun with it as we designed it! And while we’re here, you might like that it also pairs well with our powerful sans-serif line.
