Circe Contrast Font Family is a graceful and inviting contrasted sans serif. Its high-contrast styles are intended for large and extra-large sizes—ideal for branding, bold headlines, book covers, and packaging. With a wide selection of alternate characters, almost any word can be effortlessly transformed into a logotype.
The family ranges from Extra Light to Extra Bold and includes contrast variations from ultra high to low, along with a fully functional variable font. Much like Optima, Circe Contrast features subtle flares at the ends of thin strokes in letters such as T, E, and C, evoking the elegance of serif details.
The typeface offers a wide variety of numeral styles—oldstyle and lining, proportional and tabular, figures for indices and fractions—plus arrows, case-sensitive punctuation, full coverage of European Latin-based languages, and extended Cyrillic support.
Circe Contrast also includes a wide range of stylistic alternates — some grouped into themed sets, such as an Art Deco-inspired set, an Elzevir-style set, and a whimsical Fairytale set, while others stand alone to offer even more flexibility in shaping the tone of your typography.
As a display typeface, Circe Contrast pairs beautifully with compact geometric sans serifs like Circe, Hint, and Stem, or with more neutral text serifs such as Circe Slab, Charter, or Newton. Circe Contrast Text, when used for body copy, complements humanist serifs and slab serif companions particularly well.
Circe Contrast was designed by Alexandra Korolkova, Isabella Chaeva, and Alexander Lubovenko.
