National Geographic magazine was founded in 1888. It was originally a scientific journal that was sent to 165 members of the charter and now reaches 40 million people each month. It primarily contains articles about science, geography, history, and world culture
In the late 1990s, the magazine began publishing The Complete National Geographic, a digital collection of all previous issues of the journal. He was later sued for publishing the magazine as a collective work in Greenberg v National Geographic and others and was temporarily barred from doing so.
