Yves Saint Laurent SAS, also known as Saint Laurent, is a famous French fashion company founded by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé in 1961.
After Creative Director Hedi Slimane started taking over Yves Saint Laurent in 2012, the company officially used the brand “Saint Laurent” for their entire ready-to-wear line, as well as a new logo of “Saint Laurent”. – Paris”.
The redesign of 2012 was held after the name of the famous fashion house was shortened to just Saint Laurent. The new concept is built around the new brand’s name, written in bold sans-serif letter, and a more elegant “Paris” in a different typeface.
WHAT FONT WAS USED IN POSTER?
The upper line of the logo had its letters in Helvetica Neue enlarged and clean, while the “Paris” tagline, also in the uppercase, is executed in a modern serif typeface which is pretty similar to Copperplate CC Bold , and has its letters placed far from each other, which adds air and lightness to the image.
