“The Astronaut” is a song by South Korean male singer Jin that was released on October 28, 2022 as his debut solo single. Co-written by Jin, British rock band Coldplay—formerly with BTS on “My Universe”, Norwegian DJ Kygo, who produced the song with Bill Rahko and Chris Martin’s son Moses Martin, The song is inspired by Jin’s affection and relationship with his fans. The production explores themes of connection and love through the use of repetitive cosmic motifs favored by both artists, such as other songs they have composed.
