Antarcdika Font

Antarcdika is a shattered sans-serif font based on Andika by SIL International and was inspired by Antarcticite, a character in Land of the Lustrous manga by Haruko Ichikawa and its 2017 3D computer animated series adaptation produced by Orange Co, Ltd., with an English dub produced by Sentai Filmworks.

The name is a combination of the African word “andika” and the icy crytalline mineral first discovered in 1965, known as antarcticite. While this one can be used both as a display text and a body text font due to the presence of original font’s easy-to-distinguish letterforms and excellent legibility, it’s best used at slightly larger font sizes due to the shattering and cracked effects. It was only made as a tribute to the typographical works of Dutch animator, digital artist, digital graphic designer, game and software developer and former digital typographer Sander Kessels (of Lollibomb). Part of Doujin Fonts series.
