The Whale is a 2022 American drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky from a screenplay by Samuel D. Hunter based on Hunter’s 2012 play of the same name. The film stars Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton and tells the story of a 600 lb (270 kg) man who tries to reconnect with his seventeen-year-old daughter.
