Mak is an experimental contrast typeface, inspired by Ukrainian underground music with the modern experimental sound of folk motifs. For Cyrillic, usually normal that a lot of signs have limited to a height of lowercase letters it doesn’t have ascender height. Therefore the words othen merge into a pile. So the typeface has ascenders for some characters where it will look familiar enough.
