Sprucken is a rough-edged display typeface with a bold, restless energy.
The letterforms look cut, scraped, and slightly torn, as if shaped quickly with a sharp tool rather than drawn carefully. Each character carries uneven edges and small breaks that give the text a raw, handmade feel. Despite the rough surface, the shapes are clear and readable, holding together well even when set in longer words. The overall impression is expressive and confident, with a touch of attitude that never turns chaotic.
The font is built with advanced OpenType functionality and guaranteed top-notch quality, containing stylistic and contextual alternates, ligatures and more automatic and manual features; all to give you full control and customizability.
It has extensive lingual support, covering all Latin-based languages, from North Europa to South Africa, from America to South-East Asia. It contains all characters and symbols you’ll ever need, including all punctuation and numbers.
Sprucken was designed to capture a sense of motion and pressure, like letters forced into shape under speed or emotion. The idea is a Halloween-style font that balances on the edge between horror and comic.
