Umbará Font is an original serif font inspired by the historic Umbará neighborhood of Curitiba, Brazil. The font was conceived by Kawany Novak and designed by undergraduate Marcus Nakamura as part of his capstone project in Graphic Design at the Federal University of Technology of Paraná.
The font includes over 140 characters in the Latin-based script, primarily supporting Portuguese, English, and Spanish. The font has an alternate set of characters for most of the uppercase letters, giving it a unique personality.
