A distant cousin of The Helmswald Post, Wyndham Gothic is a smooth blackletter typeface with roots that stretch back to the 12th century. This one puts special emphasis on legibility and clean, simple glyph structure. The use of flourishing lines helps preserve the cursive rhythm of the blackletter style, which mimics a broad-edged pen. Occasionally, geometric shapes are mixed in to replace traditionally curved elements and vice versa. This is most evident in letters such as D, B, and G.
