Missing is an upcoming American computer screen mystery thriller film written and directed by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick (in their directorial debuts), from a story by Sev Ohanian and Aneesh Chaganty. It is a standalone sequel to the 2018 film Searching, and stars Storm Reid, Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Amy Landecker, Daniel Henney, and Nia Long. The film sees a teen girl who, after her mother disappears on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend, uses various technology to find her. It is set to be released in theaters on January 20, 2023, by Sony Pictures Releasing under their Screen Gems banner.
