A Court of Thorns and Roses is a fantasy romance novel by Sarah J. Maas. It was published in 2015 and is the first book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. The novel follows Feyre Archeron, a young huntress who kills a faerie in the woods and is taken to the faerie realm of Prythian as punishment. Feyre must learn to live in this new world and survive the dangers that lurk within. She also must find a way to break the curse that is slowly killing Tamlin, the High Lord of the Spring Court.
